METALLURGICAL CRANE MOTORS for variable-frequency drives
The production of crane motors with frequency converter drives was begun in 2004 by the demand of metallurgists. Such motors have some technical and constructional differences from original model. The version with independent ventilation is very popular due to its ability to keep motors requisite parameters in service providing in a same time a wide frequency adjusting range.
A special roller bed motor version ARM2P designed to work with frequency converter drives is available. It provides required adjustment properties and overload ability in a frequency range from 10 to 100 Hz.
ARM2P uses natural ventilation and has no thermal protection sensors. The motors equipped with modified rotor providing minimal values of inductive reactance and, which is important, active (ohmic) resistance. That leads to dynamics and torque improvement.
